happy new year

2015 hasn’t been an easy year for our family. However, regardless of the difficulties there has always been joy. Our three boys bring smiles to our faces and laughter to our house on a daily basis and for that we are always grateful. Regardless of what 2016 brings I hope that we can always focus on what really matters, our family. Happy New Year everyone, here’s to a wonderful 2016.

2015 a year in review…

We read books, we built a ridiculous amount of things with duplo, enjoyed the cooler weather outside and it even got cold enough one night to freeze water outside. The boys set up an “experiment” and were thrilled that some of the water froze.

32 years young

It’s been the best day! I have been loved on, cuddled with and cherished by all four of my guys. I laughed until I cried and spent a wonderful day surrounded by those I love the most. 32 is going to be the best year yet!

Underwater family selfies are the best!

Also, this is my 700th post. How can that be?!?

summer is here

It has been pretty warm here in sunny Florida so we broke out the kiddie pool and have been having some good ol’ fashioned funΒ in the sun. Luc splashed with his big brothers for the first time and absolutely loved it. I am pretty sure we will spend the majority of our summer right here!

A week ago we returned from a wonderful week at the beach, Anna Maria Island specifically, and while laundry and a sick kiddo have kept me from being able to post these as soon as we returned here they are for you to enjoy. While we were there I was 34 weeks pregnant, and on my last week of allowed travel per Doctor’s orders, so while I was moving a little more slowly we made the best of it and cherished our time as a family of four.

I am pretty short on words these days, I blame the tiny person inside of me along with the other two that are running around outside of me, so instead of a whole lot of commentary I will just let the photos speak for themselves and say a great time was had by all. As usual, we have a ton of photos from the week so I will break them up into a few posts so I don’t overwhelm you.

slip sliding away

We have our moments these days with a constantly teething toddler (Charlie) and an independent/stubborn 3 year old and needless to say not all days are filled with rainbows and unicorns. However, last week on an especially difficult day we pulled out the slip n slide and Jamie tossed the boys down it over and over again until they were turning purple and we had to come in. It was hilarious to watch, the boys LOVED it and it was such a nice end to our day. It was definitely $5 well spent, yes you read that correctly it was only $5- thank you target ;)

springtime in florida

We have been in the big pool once already; swim lessons (in the big outdoor pool) start at the end of the week; we have taken out the slip n slide, water table and now the kiddie pool. As far as I’m concerned springtime in Florida is in full swing! Living here does have it’s perks although come July/August I am pretty sure I will be joining the boys in the kiddie pool because it is going to be HOT! Most days we need to burn off a ton of energy just so the boys don’t end up killing each other before Daddy gets home… I call this next activity: pre-nap time survival, that and cheap entertainment.

Oh and if you want to see how much the kiddos have grown in the last year check out these and these kiddie pool pics from last year.
