Over Mom’s spring break Jay spent the night at her house twice. It was nice to be able to check a few things off of my to-do list while he was gone and it was especially nice to have some good, uninterrupted, one-on-one time with Charlie. I met Mom over at Lucas Nursery to make the switch and before we parted ways- she with Jay and me with Charlie- we toured the nursery, picked up a few plants for the front of the house and made a trip through the butterfly garden they have. Although it took him a while to look up without prompting he finally got the hang of it and started to spot the butterflies on his own. Jay loved looking at the ‘buhflies’ and held tight to his species diagram the whole time we were there.
What fun to see this “first”….love the awe in his beautiful face!!

Young Jay Bird is always dressed so immaculately making him look like the little gentleman that he is.. This is a credit to his Mom..
I’m really impressed how the two of you are subjecting Jay to the wonders and awe of mother nature.. he is developing a life long love and appreciation for all flora and fauna.. Good for you guys..
