story time with Daddy

I think that my absolute favorite time with Jay is first thing in the morning after he has eaten.  This is when he is either really sleepy again and cuddly or wide awake and very, very happy.  Last Sunday the three of us had a perfect lazy day and enjoyed just spending time as a family.  When I returned to our room with breakfast (bagels and fruit)in the morning- this is what I found…

Yes, my heart did in fact melt a little :-)

party fools!

Sunday was a special day in the Perreault Household- on Sunday, Piper turned 3 years old!!  That’s huge, in puppy-dog-years she is 21 and can now purchase her own drinks.  Not that she would, I am just saying…

Jay wanted to celebrate, celebrate in style- hats were a necessity!

happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you...

On a side note- Jamie, Jay and I went for our first picnic together that afternoon.  Jay ate before we left and in the car at the park (yippee for the portability of breast feeding) and Jamie and I were able to spread the blanket out long enough (just long enough) to quickly eat our sandwiches under the shade of a tree.  This is counted as a success in my book- progress is being made in our house since we can actually get out of the house now!  We were also able to walk around the garden (Mead Gardens) and boardwalk while we were there- glorious, just glorious!!

we got Jay a cool hat kind of like his Daddy's- we want to keep the sun off of that sweet head of his!

snoozin' during the walk
some pretty flowers that we saw on our walk- I don't know what it is, could be a weed for all I know

here’s hopping…

that you had as wonderful of a weekend as we did!

We lounged around…

We spent time with friends and family…

We cooked and ate a bunch…

We snoozed…

and snoozed some more…

We hung out in the hammock…

We went for our first stroller ride…

btw- Jay hates the car seat and therefore the stroller too. This picture was taken after he was taken out, calmed down, fell asleep and then put back in.

We documented our first Easter as a family…

and we posed by our new Easter basket…

i love it, i tell ya

Have a mentioned before that I really do love wearing this kiddo? It makes him so portable and snugly and what could be better?! I was looking through some “older” photos and found these couple gems that I couldn’t resist sharing.

Jamie likes wearing him too- don't worry, we take turns

Once a week, we have lunch with my Grandpa. He picks up firehouse subs and brings them over. It is a day that we look forward to each week. When his work allows, my cousin Michael joins us.

proud of our roots

A few weekends ago Jamie and I took Jay outside to wait for friends to come over; this child LOVES the outdoors and is pretty much always happy when we go outside.  While we were out there we ended up taking some pictures, it was completely unplanned but they turned out great.  I didn’t realize until looking at the photos afterwards that we were color coordinated; we were all in nice shades of blue and red (really, I swear it wasn’t planned).  By the way, I love the outfit that Jay is wearing; it was given to us by my Auntie Deb and Grandma who purchased it from my favorite shop in Canada, Roots.

These are some of my favorite pictures that we have taken to date (although I have a lot of favorites) so please excuse the obnoxious amount of pictures that I am going to post :-)

Before Jay was born, I asked my dad if he would be Jay’s Pépère. Growing up, I had a Pépère and wanted my son to have the same. For those unaware, Pépère is the French word for Grandpa

Since my mom wants to be Mimi, my Mémère will remain simply Mémère. We won’t use the French term for Great Grandma

farmers market

Last Saturday Jamie, Jay and I took an early morning trip to the Winter Park Farmers market.  Jay is usually in a really good mood first thing in the morning after being fed and changed so Jamie and I thought that it would be a great idea to go; we would be able to get out and get some much needed fresh air.  Jay was a perfect little angle the whole time that we were there.  He was awake for a the first little bit when we got there but then promptly crashed and didn’t wake up until much later.  I carried him the whole time in my baby carrier (which I LOVE by the way) and he was snug as a bug in a rug!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the outing…

By the way, I LOVE this wall for photographs!!  I have taken a few clients to Park Ave to photograph and I always love how it turns out- I am a texture junkie!  If you want to see some of the pictures you can check them out here.

Jamie went back to work yesterday…

We have been so blessed to have him be able to stay home with us for so long so I am not complaining, except really I am- having him go back to work was tough!  I think I started missing him on Saturday or Sunday when I realized that he was going to have to go back the following week, so you can imagine what Tuesday morning was like.  He still has Monday and Fridays off this month, which is making this transition easier but if you know of a job in which either of us can make a ton of money hanging out and enjoying our time as a family please, please be sure to let me know!

These are just a few of my favorite pictures of Jay and Jamie from the last little bit…

welcome friends!

Welcome everyone!  Jamie and I have decided to combine our efforts to bring you the most up to date photos and tidbits from our life; we figure if we both have a go at it we may actually stay somewhat up to date.  Demand for pictures of our cutie is high and free time is low right now, so we will try our best…

We are so happy for you to be here, thanks for visiting- be sure to come back soon!!
